Michael Wayne Dill was born on July 4th,1969 in Dickson, Tennessee. He spent much of his childhood moving between various cities within Tennessee. These cities included Dickson, Charlotte, Nashville, and Clarksville. However, it was during Christmas break in the middle of his 9th grade year that his father relocated the family to Lynchburg, Virginia. It was during this time that Michael discovered his passion for singing and music. He actively participated in the high school choir and a local church's youth group. After graduating high school in 1987, Michael followed in his father’s footsteps and pursued a career as an electrical apprentice while also performing as a singer in different local rock and country cover bands. He achieved some mild and local success as the lead singer/songwriter of a local rock band, but eventually grew tired of the band and local music scene and took a break from music and songwriting for a period of about ten years.
In 2019, after meeting and marrying his fourth wife, Michael made a comeback to the music scene as an indie country rock artist, forming a duo group with a local friend and songwriter. They named themselves Dill & Scott. However, their partnership was short-lived as they disbanded in 2020 after winning the "Duo EP of the Year" award with their project "Wild & Free". As a solo artist, Michael has since then received multiple nominations and awards from the Josie Music Awards out of Nashville. With his strong work ethic, he has released a total of seven albums, with four of them being nominated and two winning the "EP Album of the Year" award. Michael's music combines sounds of country, rock, and pop elements, and resonates with a wide audience through its heartfelt lyrics and catchy melodies. In the indie contemporary country music scene, Michael stands out as a talented artist. Recently, he signed with Salter Gann Universal Promotions & Management, LLC, a highly regarded management team who has also won multiple Josie Music Awards.
