two voices are better than one
Scott and Kayla, a father daughter duo, playing a variety of new and classic country, classic rock and originals. A rocking duo with an original twist.
Scott grew up in a very musical family with his grandfather, who was blind from age nine, was a local musician in Livingston Montana, playing the piano, drums and singing in the Rambeling Ramblers. His father, the man who taught him to play the guitar at the age of 5, also was a guitar player and singer. Growing up in small towns in Montana has its challenges, but it has also giving Scott the life needed to reach for his dreams of being a singer/ songwriter. Having two musically talented daughters, it has sparked the idea of performing together as a family, but as fate would have it, only one daughter, Kayla, has shown the desire to chase his crazy dream of being a full time musician.
Kayla, upon graduating from high school, went on to culinary school, before jumping in with both feet and traveling all over Montana playing music in local bars, Brewery's and private functions. Their unique blend of family harmonies draws their followers into a musical journey. From their renditions of Journey's Don't stop believing to their original Whiskey in Heaven, the listener is taken through the facets of time and touched by memories of the familiar songs they cover. Their original songs are written from personal memories and life experiences that touch you in so many different ways.
Take the time and have a listen, and if you get the chance to see them live, don't miss it. Its entertaining, with stories from yesterday, and you will not leave disappointed.

SCOTT TECCA
Who is your biggest influence? My biggest influences are easy. My grandpa Tecca, who was a blind musician, played the drums, accordion, piano and sang. He was also a licensed auto mechanic. My grandfather taught me that all things are possible. My father was also a great influence, who taught me how to play the guitar at the age of 5. And of course Garth Brooks. Where would you be without music? I couldn't imagine there not being any music in my life. Music and writing have gotten me through the toughest times in my life. Why did you decide to sign with SGU? I knew that if we were going to move our music forward, we needed help with the next step. After following Phyllis and her artists, and seeing the support and sense of family, I knew this was the family that we needed to be affiliated with. What is your ultimate goal? My ultimate goal is to be able to play music for the rest of my life and to share through our music, stories of life’s lessons that many can relate to but don’t know how to put them into words. What is a fun fact or story about you? When I was in fourth grade, I had a crush on one of the girls in my class. One day while we were walking home from school, I decided to try and give her a kiss. Well, she hit me in the mouth with her lunch box, of course I got a fat lip. When I got home, my mom asked me what had happened and I told her. She was upset as the next day was school photo day and here I was with a fat lip. She told me I better not try that again. My response was, it’s ok mom, tomorrow she is bringing a sack lunch!! ~ Persistence People!!! What is your favorite quote? Today is the first day of the rest of your life! |

Who is your biggest influence? I have many influences l, as I enjoy all music, but the ladies of country music have always inspired me the most. Miranda Lambert and Brandi Clark are two that I pull music from most often. Where would you be without music? I’m never sure how to answer this question since music has always beee a part of my life. I don’t have many memories that don’t revolve around music. Why did you decide to sign with SGU? Dad and I were ready to make the next step in our careers and Phyllis was there to support us and encourage us. The whole of SGU just seemed so inviting and friendly; and, that’s all Dad and I really wanted in management. What is your ultimate goal? My goal in all of this is to just follow wherever this passion takes me. If it ends up that people love our music and connect with the songs then that is amazing. What is a fun fact or story about you? A fun fact about me is that I went to school for the Culinary Arts. I have an Associated Arts Degree in Culinary. However I hate cooking in commercial kitchen so I haven’t used my degree outside of cooking for friends and family. What is your favourite quote? Be strong now, things will get better It might be storming now, but it can’t rain forever. |
Thanks for supporting our family!
