Michael Rueschhoff-Nickelson
Michael became interested in flowers early on in life. He’s been doing flower arrangements most of his life. He has a Floral Designer Masters Degree. Michael owned a florist shop in Sikeston, MO for five years. Twenty years ago he opened a florist in Festus, Mo. The Flower Patch Of Festus. His made the fifth florist in town. Today, he has the only florist in town. He serves a wide area delivering flowers.
HOW WE BEGAN
Kaitlyn, his daughter suggested he should do some live tutorials on Christmas decorating on Facebook. His Facebook page had approximately 7000 followers. This quickly changed after doing the tutorials. Currently his page has over 60,000 followers and growing. Michael goes live Monday through Friday 1-3pm CDT making arrangements, wreaths, casket sprays, etc. He has people from all over the USA and several other countries tuning in. He has a good following during the lives. Michael started calling them the Peeps. He plays gospel music and sings lots of the time. Wreaths and arrangements usually don’t find their way to the showroom.

Church Sing-Along
Born and raised in Fletcher, MO, Michael recalls singing the old gospel hymns with his mom while she played the guitar. He’s been singing from an early age. Michael plays the piano, organ and some guitar. He’s self taught on all these instruments. He has a Music Masters Degree. The Flower Patch's live videos atract customers from around the world. Owner Michael Nickelson said he has had a stable following of customers for a long time, but the live streams of his work with flowers as brought unprecedented attention to his business. "We have followers in every state in the U.S.," he said. "On a daily basis, an average of 10,000 a day watch it." Nickelson said the page has 60,000 followers, including people from Canada, Mexico, Australia, Ieland, the Philippines, South Africa and New Zealand. |
